Prof.
Dr. Bernhard Seliger is a full-time representative of the Hanns Seidel Foundation in Seoul, South Korea. In addition, as Honorary Professor he lectures in the business major "International Economics" at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the WHZ. His main research focusses on the political and economic changes in North Korea, which he himself supports locally through various EU projects. In addition, his research concentrates on economic integration in East Asia.
Prof. Dr. Tomasz Wierzbowski is Adjunct Professor at the Institute for EU Studies of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul, South Korea. Additionally, he is the Korea Representative of EURAXESS, a European Commission initiative supporting researcher mobility and career development while enhancing scientific collaboration between Europe and the world. Tomasz is focused on the Northeast Asia region and offers academic courses in International Relations and Comparative Politics. His academic interest lies also in the methodology of the social sciences. As a member of the East Asia Centre in Zwickau he supports the Centre's research in East Asian politics, grant applications as well as conference organisation.
Prof. Dr. sc. pol. Dr. nauk hum. Ralph Michael Wrobel
Prof. Dr. Dr. Ralph Michael Wrobel is Professor of Economics, in particular Economic Policy, at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the WHZ. In addition to Social Market Economy and regulatory policy ("Ordnungspolitik"), his areas of teaching and research include emerging markets in Asia, economic development in Korea, China and the Tiger Economies of Southeast Asia. He teaches in the business major "International Economics". His research and teaching focuses are the geopolitical shifts in the region caused by the rise of China, the political and economic development in North Korea and in the Asian economic powerhouses.
